A repulsive character, but a prime example of the degeneration of a society

Tyrannical, crude, idle, maladjusted, grotesque, irascible… There is no lack of adjectives to describe Silvio José Pereda, a 45-year-old confirmed bachelor obsessed with WWII videogames, sausages, and Steven Seagal films—who occupies himself leeching off of his poor father’s old age. Influenced by authors such as Clowes, Blanquet, Doucet, and Bagge, Alcázar sketches out a ruthless portrait of our deranged society using his black sense of humor, cynicism, and above all hilarity.
